1.
Quality & Fitness
for Purpose of Goods
Sharing
Life Trust makes no representation as to quality,
fitness for purpose or operational
safety of any goods offered through the ‘FairXchange’ network.
We host this network as a community service, and
any transactions conducted
therein are expressly understood by all parties
involved to be solely between offering and accepting
network members.
2. Code of Conduct for Members
a) Description of Goods
The network relies on members giving an honest
and accurate description of goods offered, with
dimensions and photos where appropriate.
b) Payment for Goods
The
network operates a discretionary payment scheme,
where ‘buyers’ are invited to make
a contribution to Sharing Life Trust, through the “Just
Giving” link, appropriate to the buyer’s
financial circumstances and the value of the goods.
We
do not police these contributions, but rely
on members’ honest
co-operation to at least cover our costs in providing
this service, which
we would otherwise have to withdraw.
c) Communication
Members
of the network agree to communicate promptly
and appropriately with each other in connection
with network transactions. Members agree to respect
each other’s privacy and not to pass on other
members’ contact details to third parties
without their consent.
3.
Host’s
Rights
Sharing Life Trust retains the right to host the
network, and to remove members from it in the event
of a breach of these Terms and Conditions. Any
member so removed has the right of appeal to the
Trustees, who will make a judgment at a subsequent
Trustees Meeting, and inform the member accordingly.
